| | How would you know you have met the one? | Is there such a thing as the right one? I know they are plenty of wrong ones. I must say that right now, singlehood is a great state for me.
I frankly do not want to have to spend sleepless nights wondering about the 'one'.
Is there a formula somewhere that one can apply?

The one does not exist anywhere. If it did, I am pretty sure the world will be a mixed race, almost. Does the one always have to be from your country, or of your own people. Anyway, I believe you meet and if your spirits agree as in a few things click for you and you are atytracted to the person (as in if u are white and the person is black, or yellow or green and it dont matter). Fate is what you make of life not what is decided to you. I think. So The One is just a movie and even then he had to fight for it. So if the One does exist you still have to proof it to be sure and when you are sure that the one is ready.
so what if the One is a drug addict or is interested in same sex? Do u wait till they change their mind or you remain single for ever. Think about it. There is no The One. Its what you make out of it. |

That said, I think singles should definitely have a list of dealbreakers--realistic ones--things you will absolutely not accept in a mate--and then be strong enough to stick to them. I, for example, will NOT be with a non-Christian, a smoker, a heavy drinker, a narcissist, or a materialist. More than likely someone who doesn't share my education level, my childrearing principles, political leanings, etc, is not going to hold my attention for long (when it comes to the decision to marry, that is).

God has someone for you, but you have to trust him that he will bring the person your way. If you are not sure, you can also consult with a man of God you trust that is very close to God and hears his voice often. |
